What is Ketamine?
Ketamine was born and raised in Michigan, and is one of today's safest anesthetics. Its biochemical foundation was synthesized in the late 1950s in Detroit, MI. Ketamine has been FDA approved for use in humans as a dissociative anesthetic since 1970. It was then utilized on the battlefield by soliders during the Vietnam war. Currently its main use is as an anesthetic in the operating room given by an anesthesia provider. However, over the past 15 years ketamine has found itself to be effective outside the operating room again. When given as an intravenous infusion at sub-anesthetic doses it has been highly effective in alleviating symptoms in many mood disorders, chronic pain and even reversing suicidal behavior.
Ketamine Treatment
WM Ketamine Clinics offers IV infusion therapy to those suffering from depression, OCD, PTSD, and various forms of neuro-pathic pain. We are a clean state of the art facility. Infusion therapy is uniquely tailored to each individual based on their diagnosis, and the severity of their symptoms. At WM Ketamine clinics patient safety is our priority. During infusions each patient has their own room, which offers certain amenities (dimmer light switch, white noise maker, sleep mask, etc...) that create the most relaxing environment possibly based on each individuals preferences. Also, all patients are connected to cardiac monitors during their infusion, and have qualified staff routinely checking on them, and recording their blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and heart rate.
